Get Involved
There are many ways to become involved at Reconstructionist Temple Beth Israel. As a small congregation that values volunteerism, we look forward to having more of our members strengthen their engagement and help out on one of our board committees, work on a short-term project such as a fundraising event or a program, or join our board of trustees.
Of course, one of the most important ways to be involved at RTBI is to attend Friday night or Saturday morning services to help make a minyan. That way, we are assured of being able to take out the Torah on a Saturday when we have a torah service scheduled, and those who are there to recite the mourner’s kaddish may do so with a quorum. As a Reconstructionist community, we are fully egalitarian, so both men and women (anyone age 13 and up) are counted towards a minyan.
