High Holy Days

We hold a full complement of engaging High Holiday services using the Kol Haneshama prayerbook. The second day of Rosh Hashana features an alternative service with interactive discussion. Rosh Hashana begins the evening of Wednesday, September 28, 2011, which ushers in the Hebrew year 5772.

Here is our complete schedule of High Holiday services:

Interactive Family Services with Drumming, Singing & Storytelling
Rosh Hashanah, Day 1 – 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
Yom Kippur Morning – 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM

Main Services
Erev Rosh Hashanah – 8:00 – 9:00 PM
Rosh Hashanah, Day 1 – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Rosh Hashanah, Day 2 – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Erev Yom Kippur – 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Yom Kippur Morning – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Yom Kippur Afternoon Torah Study – 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Ne’ilah Service – 6:00 – 6:45 PM

Non-members are welcome to join us for these services (as with any service throughout the year). Through our Free Seats for First-Timers program, first-time ever attendees may attend High Holiday services free of charge (limited seats available). Free seats are also available through the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey’s EZ Key program. We also host potluck dinners in our sukkah which are open to all, and we will be hosting some fun events for Sukkot with our entire community. Join us to decorate the sukkah on Sun., October 9, and some learning and refreshments together on Sun., October 16.
